Mortgage Location Survey (Chapter 4733-38 Ohio Administrative Code)
A mortgage location survey is the simplest service provided by a land surveyor that is certified to the lending institution and/or title insurer. This service provides no warranty to the consumer and does not allow for the physical staking out of the property boundaries. Mortgage location surveys are conducted for the purpose of ensuring to the mortgage lender that there are no adverse survey issues that would affect the future marketability of the mortgage premises.

Stake or Boundary Survey (Chapter 4733-37 Ohio Administrative Code)
A stake or boundary survey is conducted for many reasons and allows for property corners to be identified by steel property markers. This is done to physically establish the property lines for such things as structural improvements and additions, fence installations, and property line dispute settlements. This service does not provide information (certified drawing and improvement location) needed by the title insurance company; however, these services can be included upon request.
